Fibocom FM101&FG101 are a series of LTE Advanced modules designed for a wide range of scenarios such as Industrial IoT, Smart Cities, C-V2X, etc. t. It is now fully capable to boost highly efficient connectivity for global customers, providing a better LTE network experience with high reliability and extended applicability.
Currently, the adoption of LTE in IoT applications still remains strong, given the fact that that 4G is a technology available globally compared with the insufficient coverage of 5G. For areas not yet fully establish 5G infrastructures, the Fibocom FM101 and FG101 series is a preferable choice, ideally suitable for applications such as FWA devices, STB, ODU, PDA, etc.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon® X12+ LTE Modem, Fibocom’s FM101&FG101 wireless modules series support more than 20 LTE frequency bands as well as WCDMA fallback. Featuring 3GPP Release12 standards, the modules support 3 different communication modes (Cat 6, Cat 12 and Cat 13), to meet the speed requirements of different regions and different application scenarios. Both FM101 and FG101, adopting M.2 and LGA form factor respectively, have two regional versions, which can be operated in Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America.
Along with abundant functionalities such as DFOTA, VoLTE and Audio, the Fibocom FX101 modules support multi-constellation GNSS receiver, including GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo, for high-performance positioning and navigation. Featuring Windows, Linux, and Android operating systems, they also support a rich set of Internet protocols and digital interfaces, including USIM, USB 3.0/2.0, PCIe 2.0, PCM/I2S and UART, allowing much flexibility and ease of integration for customer's application.
To date, Fibocom’s FM101 and FG101 modules have been certified by various industry associations and regulatory bodies, the mass production of which will be ready soon. Meanwhile, Fibocom will quickly launch other regional versions of FM101&FG101, to help customers worldwide develop their devices conveniently.
